The Belfield Bike Shop had humble beginnings, in a stable no less, behind Belfield House.
That was over 20 years ago and we are still on campus but have since graduated to "newer" premises by the running track which we share with our sister company, Irish Cycling Safaris, a cycle tour company. We don't have a flashy showroom, we are too down to earth for that, but we do have a committed staff of avid cyclists!
If you are thinking of buying a new bike we can offer you advice on what is appropriate for your needs and a bike fitting service.
We can also get your bikes to order or we can custom build a bike for you. All bikes sold in our shop qualify for a free service after 3 weeks.
There is great value at present in bikes from Giant & Merida. Their high-end road and mountain bikes are exceptionally good value when you compare them to some of the more well-known manufacturers. Giant is the worlds biggest bike manufacturer. They constantly research and develop their products. They produce a huge range of bikes which are super reliable and well backed up.
See our selection of in-stock bikes at great prices on the Bikes page.
Our Charity Work
The Belfield Bike Shop is proud to be associated with the Irish Hospice Foundation's cycle challenges. We have been involved since the first event, Dublin to Paris in July 2009. Since then we have been providing back up and support on the Irish Hospice Foundations fantastic fundraising challenges, Paris to Geneva 2010, Geneva to Nice 2011 and Lyon to Nice 2012, The Atlantic to the Mediterranean in July 2013, San Sebastian to Barcelona 2016, Genoa to Rome 2016, Porto to Lisbon 2017, Croatia Slovenia Italy 2018 and Costa Verde 2019. These events have raised huge sums for a great cause. We have gained invaluable experience while supporting over 100 riders for 5 days on some of these events.
We have also worked with on the big fundraising ride, Paris2Nice, from 2011 to 2019 and Chamber of Commerce yearly cycle challenge included, as well as many other single day and multi-day sportive events in Ireland and Europe.
