Welcome to the Belfield Bike Shop website

Welcome to the Belfield bike Shop Website. We are on the UCD campus beside the running track. You can have a look at the map  on the left to see exactly where we are. Our sister company, Irish Cycling Safaris share our premises.

We are not a huge superstore but we are a diverse bunch of cyclists who love our bikes and get great joy out of  getting you bike addicted. Whether you are a razor-sharp racer, an affable offroader, a canny commuter, a trendy tourist or a basic beginner, we have someone who can share your experience. There is Antoine the French MTBer,  Marcin the former Connacht XC medalist, John the Dublin to Paris inventor and Aidan the old guy who says he won some races but he is too old for anyone to remember.

Our well equipped workshop is our strength and no repair is too big or too small for us. You can see a repair price list of some of more common problems we encounter on the repairs page. We have a good stock of bikes, parts and clothing and can get just about any bike you want.

We are thrilled to be be recognised in this way and we will continue to give every customer and their bike the most careful attention no matter what level of bike or cycling.

Bike to Work Scheme

On 1 January 2009 a new government scheme to encourage people to cycle to work came into force. Cycling keeps you fit, it’s fast, cheap and reliable – and it’s good for the environment.

The new bike scheme covers bicycles and accessories up to a maximum cost of €1,000. The bicycle must be purchased by your employer but the scheme can then operate either with your employer bearing the full cost of the bicycle, or by way of a salary sacrifice agreement (like the existing travel card scheme) in which you pay for it, tax free, over 12 months. In other words you don't pay tax on that €1000 and it is deducted nice and gently over a year. Call in a talk to us
